ALRIGHT! Finally a new Keanu movie in which we can fall in love again! Or become so increasingly jealous of his relationship with his female costar that we want to kill her...or at least be her.
Anyone who can convince Keanu (or his character rather) to live with them for a month
(November, in case you needed it clarified) is worth being jealous of. Charlize Theron has
that effect, especially since she was in
Devil's Advocate
with Ke already.
The photos from this one are giving a Devil's Advocate/Matrix sorta feel -- which I think is very VERY good. It's Keanu's best look, that length of hair and clean-shaven.
Anyway, the trailer looks amazing.
Yet again, I have to comment on the name Keanu's character has. Now I know this screenplay was written in the 60's (this is a remake), but Nelson Moss? Can't help but think of Nelson from The Simpsons: "Ah ha."
Anyway, all that matters is that I DID see it the next day. It was awesome. I now have respect for Charlize. I think she really is a good actor. No, I didn't want to kill her. She fit perfectly into the role and I couldn't see anyone else doing so well. And yeah, of course, Keanu was his usual charm and gorgeousness. Some of the dialogue was pretty fasinating. Oh, and Liam Aiken (as the little kid, Abner) was the coolest. If you're tired of Hayley Joel Osmont or whatever his name is, it looks like this kid might be able to do just as well.

understand.
